Archive for BlackBerry
Forbes.com have created a new article explaining about how ‘the technology world is a fickle beast’ : how one minute you can be top dog and the next minute ready for extinction. The scenario could be applied to BlackBerry.
Towards the end of 2010, BlackBery were flying high, their smartphones being bought by the general market made their sales figures extravagantly dreamy and their profits then reflected this. Until they got too ahead of themselves and released the flop we all know as the BlackBerry PlayBook. And yes, it was a flop.
The result was reported annual losses for RIM and the two executives stepping down. BlackBerry have been near-bottom of the pile since and are slowly (but surely IMO) crawling their way back to success.
But it’s not all doom and gloom for BlackBerry, as Forbes have suggested in their 5 reasons why BlackBerry is not down and out.
I was doing my usual web surf when I came across the teaser video for the new BlackBerry OS10! On watching it, I immediately took a little liking to it, it seems to look refreshing and shows that BlackBerry are actually now starting to take the game seriously, although still playing catch up.
The device used in the video is not an official BlackBerry smart phone release, nor will it ever be, it is only showing the BB10 OS on a Dev Alpha device. Have a little watch of the video below and let us know what you think of BlackBerry 10′s OS.
As reported in USA Today, a report reveals that around half of laptops or mobile phones sent for the trash heap still contain valuable mobile data of their previous owners.

We all know how this story goes. Blackberry was once an amazing mobile company. All the greatest and top business men and women globally would purchase their state of the art devices. However, many many years have gone since then and blackberry have to start clawing their once was market share back from the clutches of recent success stories Apple with the iPhone & Android with their array of smartphones.
Blackberry had a dismal year in 2011. One which they will want to forget and move on from. They have started doing this by trying to woo developers by giving 2,000 of their blackberry 10 devices to tinker around with and play with.
