It’s what the jailbreak community have long been yearning for; a jailbreak clever enough to break through the high-tech security of the iPhone 4S and the new iPad.
Absinthe 2.0 went live officially at 1:30pm (BST) and you can download it straight from greenpois0n.com
Just before you go and download, I thought I would give you some advice. In the instructions it says ‘Once your backup is complete return to your device and go to Settings – General – Reset – Erase All Content and Settings. This will make the jailbreak process much faster.’ , while I do not dispute this instruction I did have trouble jailbreaking after resetting this way.
If you experience problems, try restoring from iTunes instead of on the iOS device itself. That’s what worked for me.

FaceTime to work with 3G
You have your new iPhone and you’re trying out the new features. One that catches your attention is FaceTime.
“Oh that looks fancy,” a voice in your head says “Let’s FaceTime Bob”
You go to press call when BAM you get a pop up saying it cannot be used on 3G!
But this all may be about to change.
iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak ‘couple of weeks away’ – @pod2g
Twitter user and famed iOS hacker @pod2g has revealed that the new jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 is a couple of weeks away from being released. Many of those with A5 Chip devices ( the new iPad, iPad 2 and iPhone 4S) will be eagerly awaiting this latest jailbreaking tool as no jailbreak previously has managed to get past the security of the A5 chip and the ASLR (Address Space Layout Randomisation) .

Apple drops 4G Advertising in the UK
Apple have received heat from consumers and the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) about their 4G advertising in the UK. 4G is not even in the UK yet and, even when it is, it will not work with a UK 4G network.
So after weeks of getting complaints, Apple have finally decided to pull the 4G Advertising.
